The Szemud Commune is situated in the central part of the Pomeranian province , in the administrative district Wejherowo. The entire commune area is 176, 57 km2, including 37,28 km2 of forests Tricity Landscape Park. The Szemud Commune includes 22 villages with headmen. The population growth seems to provide for being a developing one - as for December 31, 2007, it increased to 13,372 people, at the density of population 76 persons/1km2.
